Case 6:

Clinical Signs:

A group of sheep underwent abdominal surgery for embryo transfer. A number of these sheep had died within 7 days of the surgery. At post mortem, there was a large amount of foul, turbid abdominal fluid, and fine white/yellow, friable fibrin strands covered the serosal surfaces of most abdominal viscera.

Fibrinous exudate adherent to a serosal surface. The serosa contains dilated, congested blood vessels and oedema. (x40)
