Case 2:
Signalment:
Mature, male monkey
History:
Monkey had acute onset of lethargy of 12 hours.
Clinical signs:
Animal presented comatose with diarrhoea staining around anus. Temperature
35°C.
Post Mortem Examination:
Both the small and large intestines were flaccid and dilated. The intestinal
contents were watery to mucoid, yellow/green and floccular in nature.
The mesenteric lymph nodes were enlarged, and on cut section revealed multiple small, pale staining foci which represented enlarged lymphoid follicles.
