Signalment:

Broiler chicken from a group that had been deprived of water for 48 hours, 4 days ago.

Clinical Signs:

The bird was reluctant to move, appeared very lethargic and had swollen joints. Yellow-white deposits were present in the kidneys and scattered over the serosal surfaces of the peritoneum.
