Case W976/89 Lameness and bone deformities in a puppy

History:

A litter of Greyhound pups were fed on a diet almost entirely of lean beef. The pups had been hand reared because the bitch had died. The pups were kept in a big old machinery shed, with no outside access.
Pups were thin, lame and some had swollen bone ends and enlarged joints.
