Adrenal Tumours:
Adenomas tend to grow expansively, causing compression
of adjacent structures.
It can be difficult to distinguish cortical tumours from medullary tumours.
History:
16 year old female neutered Cocker Spaniel presented with neurological
signs of head pressing and seizures. The dog was euthanised and at necropsy,
both kidneys were pale and shrunken and the left adrenal gland was moderately
enlarged due to expansion of medullary tissue.
