History:

Chihuahua dog, male 13, months of age
Had chronic cystitis for months
Strained to defaecate (tenesmus) for at least 6 months

Gross pathology:

Bilateral cryptorchid
Chronic cystitis
Swollen lumpy prostate
Fibrous areas and purulent foci within prostate

Normal prostate from an unaffected animal (x40)
