Case 4:

History:

A 9 year old, female spayed Old English sheepdog presented with a 3 week history of intermittent haematuria. Contrast studies confirmed the presence of a protruberant mass involving the neck of the bladder. A full thickness bladder biopsy was collected at laparotomy.

 

This is a low power view of the bladder mucosa, submucosa and the innermost tunica muscularis (detrusor muscle). A protruberant mass is present on the right hand side.
