Introduction |
There is focal thickening and hyperplasia of the endometrium. The mucosa is thickened with a bubbly appearance because of the development of cystic glands which may be up to 2 mm in diameter and contain clear watery fluid. In severe cases, there may be villous and papillary protrusions of hyperplastic epithelium from the mucosal surface. |
