Gross Findings:
Abdominal cavity contained approximately 1 litre of
serosangineous, clear fluid.

The mucosa of the proximal duodenum was red/black in
colour with frank blood and mucus in the lumen and a severely oedematous
and flaccid wall.
The mucosa of the large intestine was granular, red/black in colour with
plaques of green tissue firmly adherent to the surface.
