Introduction
   

Dendritic Cells:

These are sentinel cells that constantly patrol for foreign antigen. Bone marrow derived dendritic cell precursors circulate through blood and non-lymphoid peripheral tissues where they eventually become resident.
On encounter with pathogen they are able to capture antigen from their surroundings and the present it. The are professional, very efficient antigen presenting cells able to prime T cells.
