Introduction

Case 18:

Signalment:

4 year old female Maltese cross.

Clinical Signs:

The owners have noticed that their dog urinates small volumes of urine very frequently (pollakiuria). Occasionally they have noticed the urine appears a little bit red tinged. You ask them to collect some urine and then perform a urinalysis. Your urinalysis reveals that there are moderate numbers of intact red blood cells present in the urine (haematuria).
