Case 12:

Signalment:

6 yo Bedlington terrier entire male, with repeated bouts of hepatitis.

Clinical Signs:

The animal was mildly jaundiced, had a low plasma protein content and was mildly anaemic.

Other information:

Haematology revealed that the anaemia was non-regenerative.

The animal was euthansed and a post mortem conducted. On gross examination the liver was mottled in appearance and showed alternating regions of fibrosis and nodular hyperplasia. Some areas appeared pale.
