Introduction
   

Gross Findings:

Early lesion

The most startling finding was a large solid mass of abdominal fat. This fat located in the mesentery held adjacent loops of small intestine together firmly and prevented their individual manipulation. The consistency of the fat was that of crumbling lard, with a chalky or gritty feel to it.

If this process continues on for a longer period, the gross apperance is somewhat different:
