Veterinary Pathology - Necrosis

Introduction

Histological Findings:

Haematoxylin & Eosin (x400)

Examination of the tissues around the joint revealed destruction of the apparent architecture of the vascular walls. Instead there may be seen concentric thickenings of the vessel walls and narrowing of the lumens. Some vascular walls have been replaced by a pale pink amorphous material (consistent with the deposition of fibrin). The special stain shows fibrin as an amorphous yellow colour.

Special Stain (x40)

This is an example of what type of necrosis?
