Introduction

Case 3:

Clinical History:

An 11 year old male Australian cattle dog was euthanised because of left-sided congestive heart failure. At necropsy, there was moderately severe mitral valve endocardiosis and pulmonary congestion and oedema.

The left ventricle had undergone eccentric hypertrophy and jet lesions were visible over the left atrial endocardium.

This is a low power view of the left ventricular myocardium. Multiple coronary arteries are visible.
