Melanocytoma:

History:

Small, dark lump on the digit of a hind limb of a 9 year old Hungarian Vizsla dog. The lump had been present for approximately 2 months and was slowly growing. It was not pruritic and was not painful.

A large mass of pigmented tumour cells (T) is present within the deep dermis. Scattered pigmented cells are also apparent within the superficial dermis. (x40)
