Equine stomach.

Equine stomach. There are extensive, variably sized ulcers within the stratified squamous epithelium, along the margo plicatus. The base of some ulcers is red, indicating that these ulcers are acute – subacute. Chronic ulcers have a pale base due to fibrosis.
