Introduction |
Peritoneal carcinomatosisHistory:Entire male dog presented with abdominal distension, ascites and renal failure. At necropsy, the prostate was enlarged, firm and asymmetric and numerous firm plaques and nodules of cream/white tissue were scattered over the peritoneum, being most concentrated over the pelvic serosal membranes close to the prostate.
Folded piece of omentum. The surface is extensively
covered by plaques of tumour cells, which are forming thin cords. (x40)
