Insight
On the processing and packaging lines, there are both full time permanent staff and casuals. The majority are men some of which worked for the previous company (Uncle Ben’s), some recruited locally and 4 staff employed using overseas migration schemes. Casual staffs are mainly backpackers. Three women work in these roles, 2 in casual roles.

Significant overtime is worked by some on the processing and packaging lines. Overtime allocation is determined by the Production Supervisor (Steve Allen) at his discretion.
