Veterinary Pathology - Necrosis |
|||
Introduction |
Gross Findings:
Necropsy revealed there to be a large area of darkened
muscle in the region of the biceps femoris and semimembrinosus muscles.
The cut surface of the muscle appears soft and oozes excessive amounts
of a watery liquid. Some severely affected areas of muscle have a foul
smell. This is in close proximity to a region of bruising that is evident
on the inside of the hide. Other regions of the carcase appear relatively
normal.
