Introduction

Secondary Intention Healing:

A 6mm diameter biopsy punch used in clinical practice to cut out a circular area of skin for histological examination. This biopsy punch was used to produce uniform epithelial defects at 7 day intervals.

Immediately after punch biopsy was taken

7 days following biopsy. Scab has formed. Edges of wound show pallor = replicating epidermal cells
